When people think of gossip they automatically think of celebrities. The rumors or stories created about these individuals is uncanny. Magazines and tabloids help to spread these rumors about celebrities and make for good entertainment. In many ways stories published in gossip columns are the way in which these celebrities get exposure. The buzz that erupts after such stories provides the “normal” people of the world with a fantasy to think about in there minds. Also, these types of stories make individuals seem extremely close to the world of Hollywood, and seem as if “normal” people know the stars personally.
