Motion pictures are the cornerstone of entertainment. They make their way into peoples hearts everyday and influence both thought and action regarding life. Whether seen in the movie theaters or at home, celebrity pictures are very popular and influential. In the beginning, a celebrity picture could be viewed in black and white at the local drive in movie theater. This type of a theater is pretty cool in that people drive up to these huge lots watch movies from there vehicles. This is very convenient because people can be more comfortable and not on top of one anther. Additionally, people can talk all they wish during the movie, and bring all the food and drink they wish. Very economical, drive -ins are nearly extinct. They however exist today, just in a limited capacity throughout the world. After the drive in movie, people began to see celebrity pictures in what we all know today as movie theaters or cinemas. Now, these places are cool because regardless of the weather, the movie is always showing. Also, less space is used to produce a massive volume sales and celebrity picture viewing. The only draw back to this is that it can be very expensive to constantly attend celebrity pictures in places like this. Perhaps the greatest addition to the motion picture world was the VHS or VCR tape. This gave people access to movies in there home whenever they wanted to watch. This was convenient because many of them could watch movies while doing whatever was needed around the house. Today an updated version exists called the DVD which is placed into the DVD player to view the exact same way.

To be given the honor of being one of the envied, established, wealthy, and beautiful, is one that every person dreams of proudly and secretly. The houses these people like in are insanely big and unlike any normal persons house at all. Celebrity status is one that people that are normal try to emulate often. Celebrities “pop bottles”, party exclusively, get free stuff, and get away with more than the average person does. No wonder everyone wishes they were famous! Celebrities come in all shapes, sizes, and makes. To be of this status someone must act, sing, or be on a reality television show. These individuals are highly favored and fantasized about by everyone. Everything in the life of a celebrity is exaggerated and overdone. Some celebrities are famous because the have genuine talent, some because they happened to be at the right place at the right time, and some because they were born into rich and famous families. In rare occasions, individuals that are not a part of Hollywood can be celebrities as well. For example, presidents, athletes, comedians, politicians, doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, and other entertainers. To be a celebrity a person does not have to be necessarily an actor or actress, they could be just well known individuals that have had a major influence on society.

Magazines and tabloids help to spread these rumors about celebrities and make for good entertainment. In many ways stories published in gossip columns are the way in which these celebrities get exposure. The buzz that erupts after such stories provides the “normal” people of the world with a fantasy to think about in there minds. Also, these types of stories make individuals seem extremely close to the world of Hollywood, and seem as if “normal” people know the stars personally.
